SI.com: For you the Starks are heroes, and you told us a couple of months ago that they would be the NFL equivalent of the Giants since the Giants are your team. If we extrapolate this, who is Eli Manning in your universe?
(George R R)Martin: Eli Manning would probably be someone like Loras Tyrell, the Knight of Flowers, who has a bigger brother, Lord Garlan Tyrell, who is an even better swordsman than he is (laughs). So you have that brotherhood relationship there.
Oh, darling, you certainly went out with a bang, didn’t you? And quite a body count! And revelations! Unexpected revelations! I don’t think I’ve ever read a book *this* cinematic before. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll be on the proverbial edge of your seat.
Ohmanohmanohman, a couple of different stories have finally intersected! People I know meeting other people I know! I absolutely squealed out loud, yes I did.
I LOVE IT. But it is *such* a bummer of a book! And I’m only at page 416. I will note that the instance of “eyes melting and running down [his] cheeks” is pretty bad-ass, though.
No creepy warlock dreams tonight, please!!
I actually said “You know nothing, Jon Snow” to my friend last night. We were both tipsy, so I don’t know if he really absorbed it. I’m happy to see Rose Leslie on my TV again, but she might be a leetle too pretty to be Ygritte. Then again, there is dragon-napping and a lack of Reeds and Walder children at Winterfell, so - win some, lose some. I do think Rose is appropriately fiesty.

Fine, fine; this one got me with the “always going on about climate change.”

Just “met” the second Jeyne.
