I only went through the first page but - The Replacements/Let it Be, fer sure. AND “Double Nickels on the Dime” came out in ‘84. And so did “Zen Arcade.” It’s kind of nuts seeing them all bam-bam-bam like that.

I enjoy Will & Beth as a couple very much.
Do I want to go see Chavez next month?
-so…this is krafwerk, huh? how delightfully weird (listening to “autobahn”).
-if I could stop coughing anytime soon, that would be excellent.
-maybe I finally have a job. wouldn’t that be the coolest?

Oh man, the old VH1 logo! TNN! Being 9 at the time, I was not allowed to watch MTV, so VH1 it was. I don’t remember the video for “Fields of Gold”, but do remember being creeped out by the Middle Eastern vibe of “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You.”
Billboard music video charts from September 4, 1993, right before I went to my cable-less dorm at Northwestern. Note the presence of the Gin Blossoms and Cypress Hill in the Buzz Bin.
God, “Boy in the Bubble” is a *killer* opening track, isn’t it?
I’m so glad that this album is one of my Childhood Music Memories. Thanks Mom & Dad!
